I saw this quote tonite and it instantly inspired me!
10 Habits of a Healthy Mother by Meg Meeker is a book I have been reading.

It is an incredible book that I would recommend to any mother. In fact if we all read it and lived by it I guarantee we would all be happier, less stressed, less anxious and definitely happier.
It will challenge you to become who you truly are supposed to be but then again it will cause you to rethink your life and what really matters to you. This is considered risky in today's world.
Today we live in a world where we always have to proving our worth to others.
We are good mothers, we work, or stay at home, we drive our kids all over the place nonstop, give them everything (most of which they do not need) we don't have a single moment to ourselves to even think straight and we continue to fill our plates with more.
Why? Because we think we have too. We have to keep up with the world, with everything that everyone else is doing, or so we think...
But do we? No. And this is the challenging part.
We don't have to do any of it. It certainly would not be the norm but it would likely make us happier.
Just think... if we had our kids in less activities, if we were involved in less activities, if we bought less and got rid of more, simplified our lives. Less clutter. Made more time to do the things we love or need to do... we want to be healthier but we always make excuses as to why we DON'T exercise, why we DON'T eat right. Well what if we made excuses FOR exercising and FOR eating right.
"No I cannot go because I have to get my exercise in."
"No I cannot go out to eat tonite I am trying to eat better."
What if we made excuses to LIVE A BETTER LIFE.
"No we will not be going to the game because we have to go to Church."
We all know it is the right thing to do, so why aren't we brave enough to stand up for ourselves.
Everyone else is afraid to do it, are you?

So as Spring approaches I challenge you to make excuses to get done what you WANT and NEED to get done. Take it seriously. Pray, get to Church, exercise, eat right. Make it happen. I promise you once you do everything else WILL fall into place. The rest CAN wait. Your kids need you, your spouse needs you. They need you happy, sane, joyful and to be in the proper mindset to lead by example. If we are not taking care of ourselves, how can we take care of others....
